Mitsubishi Pencil Co, the leading UK rollerball pen manufacturer, has appointed Birmingham-based Wyatt to handle its public relations and marketing assignments. The agency is charged with handling consumer and trade PR for Mitsubishi Pencil\'s flagship brand, uni-ball.

Wyatt is expected to create a marketing campaign to tie in with the Back to School range and Signo scented pens.

Commenting on the brand, uni-ball\'s marketing director, Clare Wilcox, said: \"uni-ball control more than a quarter of the branded rollerball market. In fact eight out of the nation\'s ten best sellers proudly carry the uni-ball logo.\"

Looking forward to working with such a well-established brand, Karen Bernie, managing director of Wyatt, commented: \"uni-ball pens have re-written the rules with technical leaps forward. We\'ll also bring altogether different thinking to the company\'s PR and marketing to make sure it remains the brand leader.\"
