Judging for the Scottish Newspaper of the Year took place this week when a panel of media experts gathered to pore over every Scottish national newspaper.

The panel was chaired by Blair Jenkins, news editor at BBC Scotland, and he was joined by the NUj’s Paul Holleran, Matt Wells of the Guardian, Media Week’s Tim Burrowes, Ian Reeves of Press Gazette, John Robertson of the Newspaper Society, Eddie Friel of GGCVTB, Ian McAteer of The Union and Jane Cumming of Platform PR.

The results will be announced at a gala evening ceremony on Thursday 29 April at the Glasgow Moat House. Results of the Local Newspaper of the Year and Sales Team of the Year (sponsored by George Street Research) will also be announced at the event.

Newspaper Nominations will appear in the next issue of The Drum. For tickets please contact Lorraine Gordon on 0141-352 4661 or e-mail lorraine.gordon@carnyx.com.
