Carling go for extra cold Christmas

Carling has launched its Extra Cold Lager with a new advertising campaign from The Leith Agency, portraying the “extra cold” things that some drinkers do in order to enjoy a pint of the golden nectar. The ad, which hits TV screens tonight, opens with a close-up of a young man supporting his wife through the traumas of childbirth. He whispers words of encouragement before he is revealed to be talking on a hands-free mobile while sitting in a bar drinking Carling Extra Cold. The ads aim to capitalise on the “emotionally cold” summer campaign and will be broadcast in Scotland for the next two weeks on Scottish ITV, Channel Four and Five.
