It has emerged that David McGlone, former managing director of the now defunct Edinburgh based advertising agency Faulds, is set to relocate to Manchester, following his former agency’s demise.

McGlone will join McCann-Erickson Manchester as planning director in the aftermath of the Edinburgh agency’s collapse.

McCann handles several large accounts for clients such as SSL International (parent company of Durex), Britannia Building Society and the Health and Safety Executive.

It also has a media buying subsidiary, Universal-McCann, and an online division named McCann-i, which are both based in the premises at Bonis Hall, just outside Manchester.

McGlone was named managing director of Faulds Advertising in May this year, following the decision by former MD Dennis Chester to step back from the day-to-day running of the agency.

McGlone’s appointment was confirmed by Sue Little, chief executive at McCann-Erickson Manchester.
