Richard Bogie, assistant managing director at The Scotsman Publications Ltd, has instigated a management restructure of the company’s local display teams, headed by Kris Yule, which will take effect next year.

On the back of what has been hailed a successful year for direct advertising by the publishing company, TSPL Advertising will implement the new management structure in January.

James Stephens will move to head the Evening News direct sales team, with Alison Duncan heading the broadsheet retail sales team for the Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday.

Robert Shepherd will take charge of the business team and key accounts, while Laura Penman will continue to head the special supplements team, with Alan Murray also retaining his role as head of the Edinburgh Herald & Post sales team.

In a separate move, Carol Gibson has been promoted to the position of Glasgow sales manager, a post in which she will head an increased sales force.

A new agency sales manager will be announced shortly.

Speaking of the changes in the sales department, Bogie said: “These moves will give us the right platform to drive our sales teams forward in the coming year, and will also develop and expand the knowledge and skill of our advertising management team.”
