The Union has topped the Scottish Creative League after winning nine creative awards at last week’s Scottish Advertising Awards.

The Union’s work for Human Writes also picked up one of the top awards of the night, the Chairman’s Award, which was chosen by the chairman of the judging panel, Mike McKenna of Leo Burnett. Other Union winners on the night included lingerie retailer Jane Davidson, Lothian & Borders Fire Brigade, the Scottish IPA and National Galleries of Scotland.

The Grand Prix award went to TBWA\London for its work for Scottish client Scottish Courage and the John Smith’s brand. Former creatives from Faulds were at the event to collect five awards on behalf of their agency ex-colleagues for work for Auto Trader, the Scottish Executive and the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.

Citigate Smarts scooped three awards on the night, but The Leith had to be content with just two awards this year. However, The Leith was buoyed by being named the Scottish Advertising Agency of the Year, while Feather Brooksbank was named Scottish Media Independent of the Year.
