60 Watt's Grand Prix winning ads.

60 Watt has won the Recruitment Advertisement of the Year accolade at the 2003 Scottish Recruitment Ad Awards organised by the Herald.

The Leith Agency and Feather Brooksbank’s recruitment partnership, Barkers and Park HR, also won a clutch of awards at the recent event held at the Grosvenor Hilton in Glasgow.

The Leith and Feathers won four awards, including Best Recruitment Brand Marketing and Overall Advertising Effectiveness, both for Famous Grouse, while Barkers and Park HR both scooped three awards each.

However, it was 60 Watt who, as well as winning three awards, picked up the top prize of the night for its ad “Sprecken Sie Geek?” for Graham Technology. Said Pete Mill of 60 Watt: “This is the second ‘Grand Prix’ we’ve won in the three years these awards have been running, so we are delighted.”

John Denholm of The Leith Agency said of his agency’s success: “Leith may have won many major awards but, for me, this was an important milestone on our journey to prove to clients the value of creativity in areas where it has been lacking traditionally.”
