Carnyx Group, publisher of The Drum, has launched a new event, in association with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, which will feature a line-up of speakers incorporating marketing directors and leading industry figures.

The Drum Forum – which is also supported by Scottish Enterprise, 999 Design, The Media Facilities Company, the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Howard Smith Paper and graphic company Eastern – will focus on the fact that the rules of brand management are changing. Now, more than ever, brands are being driven by more than just increased competition. Stakeholder expectation, ethical issues, corporate social responsibility and consumer trust all play their part in today’s brand management mix.

“Brand Attack” will explore the issues facing today’s brand marketers and the actions they need to take to stay ahead of the game in this practical set of seminars and interactive panel discussions.

The Brand Attack Forum will be chaired by Kenny Harris, founder of Headsurf, and speakers will include Peter Simpson, commercial director of First Direct, Ken Lindsay, director of brand heritage at Allied Domecq, Paula Keterer, head of marketing at Scotmid and Sandra Burke, senior manager for marketing and brand development at Scottish Enterprise, amongst others.
