Smith and Nephew has revealed that it looked to Thompson Design of Leeds to assist it in the roll out of its new global brand in the UK.

The Hull-based healthcare giant is breaking with tradition in its sector by focusing on a brand strategy that concentrates on how their products impact on the end user. ‘Helping people regain their lives’ is the ‘big idea’ that is intended to underpin the firm’s communications from here on in.

Jon Moss, UK marketing manager for S&N, said, \"we were looking for creativity, excellent process planning and timely delivery of materials they (Thompson) provided all of these.\"

For their part Thompson described a \"real air of anticipation on the run up to the launch\" describing how \"the launch day demonstrated how powerful a re-brand can be.\"
