MD of Leeds office promoted to board director of national agency

Deborah Hastie, managing director of Beattie Media\'s Leeds office has been appointed board director of the national PR company. The promotion comes three years after the Leeds base was opened and after a host of successes.

Hastie, 33 has 15 years of PR and journalism experience and is currently leading a team of seven, working with clients such as Marks & Spencer, Specsavers and accountants Armstrong Watson. Hastie commented, \"I\'m delighted to be on the board and can ensure Leeds has a voice in the future development of the company. The Leeds office is also strategically important as the vital link between our Scottish HQ and London offices.\"

Gordon Beattie set up the agency in 1986, which now has nine offices across the UK. He commented: \"Deborah\'s appointment reflects the hard work, dedication and great team spirit that\'s made the Leeds office such a success story.\"
