The Sunday Herald has named the replacement for outgoing business editor Kenny Kemp.

The paper has announced that Ken Symon, currently the Scottish correspondent of the Financial Times, will replace Kemp on Monday 25 August. Prior to his stint at the FT Symon was the deputy editor of the Sunday Times' Scottish team and before that was business editor at the Scotsman.

Kemp is stepping down as business editor to pursue other interests, although he will continue to write for the paper. He has collaborated with Go Airlines founder Barbara Cassani and written a book about the company, which will be published in the autumn.

Sunday Herald editor Andrew Jaspan said: “I remain saddened to see Kenny leave the paper since he has been crucial to the success of the Sunday Herald, but I am delighted that he is keen to continue writing for the paper. I am equally pleased that Ken has agreed to join the team. He is widely known and respected in the business community and I have no doubt that he will develop and enhance the Sunday Herald’s reputation for first class business journalism.”
