Thompson make mark for Round Foundry

Leeds-based Thompson Design has beaten tough competition to pick up the branding assignment for the city\'s new Round Foundry Media Centre.

Aiming to be the flagship development for growing digital, creative and media firms in Leeds, the Foundry is to be managed by Huddersfield-based Media Centre Network, on behalf of regional champions Yorkshire Forward.

Thompson has been charged with creating a visual identity and range of marketing materials that reflect both the industry\'s dynamism and the contemporary feel of the centre\'s office space.

Explaining the decision to appoint the agency over respected fellow pitchers Iris and DS Emotion, Media Centre director Toby Hyam said: \" Round Foundry Media Centre will become the hub for digital media and creative businesses in Leeds and we needed to appoint an agency that understood our objectives – Thompson Design were a perfect fit.”

The new identity is scheduled to roll out this September.
