Manchester’s Blue Chip Marketing has come third in the annual Institute of Sales Promotion Awards, beating Saatchi’s into fourth place and emerging as the top performing sales promotion firm outside London.

The agency collected a coveted gold award for a Kellogg’s promotion with Microsoft which marked the software giants first foray into SP.

Edwin Mutton, the ISP director general, singled Blue Chip out for praise commenting, “(they) deliver cutting edge promotions that consistently push the boundaries of Sales Promotion in the UK and beyond”.

Agency MD Nicky Thompson responded to the success, noting, “We are delighted to have the endorsement of our industry – particularly as we are based outside London. We are proud of our North West roots but have always performed on a national platform with a portfolio of global clients such as Kellogg’s and PZ Cussons.”
