Scottish agencies dominated The Roses Advertising Awards, held on 1 May, with Edinburgh-based Family scooping the Grand Prix. For full results see page 29.

Meanwhile, The Roses joined forces with the MPA and The Marketeer Association - a body committed to growing the business outside London - to develop the Student Awards. As a result 100 students and agencies attended a judging session and job fair last month. For more see page 52.

Adline has also announced it is to publish its entry form for The Cream Awards 2003 in June for agencies based in the Midlands, South West and Wales. The Cream schedule for the rest of the UK is currently under review.

Also a new event aimed at the recruitment industry has also been launched by Adline. The Recruitment Business Awards will cover the entire UK, outside the M25, and is being backed by the Northern Recruitment Society.

Society chair Michelle Turner said: "This event will give those working in the business the recognition they deserve."
