Northcross has completed work at the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre in Edinburgh, in a £200,000 redesign.

The brief included the redesign of the reception, retail restaurant and bar areas.

Northcross’ remit was to address visitor flow in these areas, to increase spend in both the restaurant and shop and to ensure the entrance adequately conveys the scope of the attraction.

The style of the refurbished areas in the centre is classic contemporary, breaking away from the expected traditional souvenir shops on the Royal Mile, creating a point of difference to make the centre stand out from the crowd.

Alistair MacIntosh, Managing Director of the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre said: “We appointed Northcross as the design consultants following a rigorous selection procedure. We were particularly impressed by their innovative design proposals that had to meet world-class quality standards. We are pleased with the overall results. We are looking forward to increased visitor numbers generally and a higher spend in our shop.”
