Maitland leaves Stand and joins Curious Oranj as creative director
Tom Maitland, senior designer with newly formed design agency Stand, has announced that he is to leave the consultancy to move to Curious Oranj.
The decision, which will see him take on a creative director’s role, has come as somewhat of a surprise, following his departure from sales promotion agency BD-Tank late last year to help set up the breakaway company.
Stand’s creative director, Stuart Gilmour, said that there was no acrimony in the departure: “Tom started to speak to Curious Oranj when he was with BD-Tank and I think that they simply came up with a better offer. It gives him an opportunity to operate as a creative director and that will be a challenge for him.
“We are now putting out feelers for a new senior designer and look forward to announcing a new appointment in the next few months.”
