Citigate SMARTS has been appointed to provide integrated marketing support to Scotland’s first Information Commissioner, Kevin Dunion.
The rolling programme of support will focus on communicating the concept and role of this new office, and assist in the implementation of the Freedom of Information Act in 2005.
The contract will include public relations, advertising, design, corporate identity and online activity. Six agencies were initially invited to tender for the contract and four were invited to pitch for the business.
Dunion, formerly Chief Executive of Friends of the Earth Scotland, commented: “Prior to this appointment, a full tender process was undertaken to identify one agency which would provide best value in terms of capability and advice whilst exhibiting a culture which dovetails with our own ethos and practices."
Flora Martin Managing Director of Citigate SMARTS said: “This is a unique and challenging project for which we have developed a fully integrated strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for our business and we will deliver a value driven service to meet all the promotional needs of the Scottish Information Commissioner.”
