Irn-Bru parent company Barr Soft Drinks has appointed PHD to handle its £3.5m media buying account after a protracted pitch process.

The business was previously handled by Mediaedge:CIA and the shortlist included BLM Media and Feather Brooksbank.

PHD will commence working on the account immediately with Laura James as the

Media Director.

Nigel Dugdale, Barr group marketing manager, said: "We are entering an

exciting phase in the ongoing development of Irn-Bru and the appointment of

PHD will add to our focus and enhance our media resources."

The Irn-Bru advertising account remains with The Leith Agency and the Tizer account with BDH\TBWA.
