Grant: taking on new uk-wide role.

Roseanne Grant is to stand down as managing director of Score Outdoor Scotland in order to take on a UK-wide role for Clear Channel, the new owners of Score Outdoor.

Following an announcement made internally last week, Grant is to take up the post of managing director of Clear Channel UK Ambient, a brand new division within More O’Ferrall, which will deal exclusively in large banner and special advertising sites.

The move comes as Score Outdoor Scotland is merged into Clear Channel’s billboard poster business, More O’Ferrall, after parent company Clear Channel acquired Score Outdoor in July. The Scottish office is set to become a regional operation of the London-based company. Therefore, the responsibilities of a Scottish-based MD would be significantly depleted within the new management structure, which is still being determined by Clear Channel bosses.

Speaking of the new opportunity, Grant said: “This is a great opportunity for me as it allows me to go back to the sort of things we were doing at Trainer Advertising a few years ago. I am sorry to be leaving Score Outdoor, but this is such a time of change within the industry that the job as MD of Score Scotland would be very difficult to continue in. It is great that a UK-wide banner company is being based in Scotland.”

Grant joined Trainer Advertising in 1995 as sales director. After the company was acquired by Scottish Radio Holdings and renamed Score Outdoor, Grant was made managing director for Scotland.

Grant officially leaves Score on 30 September and takes up her new role immediately.

A decision on who will take over responsibility for More O’Ferrall in Scotland is expected to be made shortly.
