Ian Leslie, the former managing director of Communique PR, has returned from his six-month sabbatical and announced that he won’t be returning to PR.

Leslie joined Communique in 1987, a year after the consultancy was formed. Paul Carroll, founder of Communique, insisted that Leslie’s decision does not spell trouble for the consultancy. He said: “Ian’s had a sabbatical and decided not to work in PR any more. I think it was on his mind when he went. This hasn’t caught us off guard, quite the opposite; we had to sort things out six months ago when Ian left.”
