Three Scottish agencies have been appointed by Scottish Life to launch The New Protection Business, the working title of its standalone insurance protection business, as it gears up for its Autumn launch.

Following an extensive pitch process, advertising agency The Union, direct marketers WWAV Rapp Collins and design consultancy Navy Blue have been signed up by the insurance protection company.

Based in Edinburgh with a team approaching 100, NPB will be headed up by David Robinson, CEO, who joined from Scottish Provident. The agencies will report to Susan Sneddon, director of communications.

The Union is researching and planning the core values of the fledgling brand, then developing the first advertising executions while WWAV Rapp Collins will formulate NPB's direct marketing strategy, initially targeting the Independent Financial Adviser sector.

Navy Blue will be responsible for helping develop the brand strategy, the corporate ID and will also be responsible for developing the company’s website.

Commenting, Susan Sneddon said: “Throughout the appointment process we were looking for innovative marketing partners who shared the cultural values and commercial vision of our business.”
