Supercook is looking to consolidate its market leading position in what is a stagnating home baking market.

The brand, which was acquired in October 2000 by Renshaw Scott, specialises in cake coverings and decorations and is looking to Leeds-based Poulter Partners to help it re-invigorate the home baking market.

Approximately £1 million has been set aside for a programme of sales promotion, PR and other below-the-line activity.

Commenting on his plans, Supercook marketing director Mark Leddy said: "Traditionally we've done purely one-to-one trade promotions but the appointment of Poulters heralds a much larger scale of activity. We acquired Supercook to give us critical mass in the market and now we're looking to build the brand and really get things going."
