Farmfoods, the frozen food specialist, has cut its TV spend in the English regions. However, the company is continuing to spend on TV in Scotland. Industry insiders have speculated that the decision may have been caused by a rethink of creative strategy for the North of England.

A spokesperson for Farmfoods was remaining tight-lipped about the details, but said: "We're a privately owned company and like to keep ourselves to ourselves. Sometimes we use leaflets and television to promote ourselves. We'll use different regions and sometimes we'll decide not to use a specific region - but it doesn't mean we won't in the future."

The company's creative advertising is currently produced by Glasgow-based Levy McCallum. Media is bought through Brilliant in Leeds.
