Flam Jam is rumoured to be close to concluding a deal with a potential new partner agency with an announcement expected in around two weeks' time.

Flam Jam remains three-quarters-owned by the three directors who broke away before Christmas to form Chunk Ideas.

At the time of the departure of Brian Limond, Michael Falconer and Donnie Kerrigan speculation was rife that Flam Jam managing director Hoss Gifford would dissolve the company.

It was believed he was in talks with the owners of two potential partner companies, where he would take his skills, clients and team but not the Flammable Jam brand. It was understood the most likely partnership would be with a marketing agency.

A fortnight ago an ad appeared in the Sunday Herald saying a new media agency was looking for a strategic acquisition, perhaps by a marketing company. The agency was described as having blue chip clients and focused on growth and staff development. A new media insider speculated the agency seeking acquisition may be Flam Jam or Chunk Ideas, but Donnie Kerrigan, director, denied this.
