Within the next 12 months we will open two major new hospitals and transfer 10,000 staff from four existing sites into one super campus.  The communications team will be at the heart of this major modernisation programme delivering a comprehensive public and staff information and engagement strategy.   Next year will also see the integration of health and social care which will also involve the development and delivery of effective public and staff communications.   Our communications team run a very busy Press Office and your key responsibility will be to deliver effective media relations. You will also have the opportunity to support the breadth of communications activities within the team including social marketing campaigns, development of engaging web and other digital content and content creation for NHSGGC’s various award winning staff and external publications.   You will be a confident and motivated individual with a degree in Journalism, PR or media/communications.  Essential to the post is a minimum of five years’ current experience as a journalist or in a media/communications/PR role. Strong communication and writing skills are also a must.
