As part of our exciting growth, we're looking for a talented Software and Web Developer to join our team based either at home or our offices in Bideford or Warrington.

You will be expected to demonstrate proven skills in most areas of software and web development including Web Applications, Javascript, AJAX, JQuery, HTML 5, CSS 3, PHP, Python, Web Servers, Apache, Nginx, UWSGI, Remote API usage, Web services (SOAP, JSON), Issue tracking, Source control e.g. Mercurial, Subversion, Github and SQL Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

Experience in any of the following areas would be highly desirable including, Test Driven Development - Python/PHP TDD, Mobile Development (web and native), Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Jinja templates, Service-Oriented Architectures, Sysadmin experience, Linux or Rackspace/Virtual Servers

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

Previous experience in a similar role, an experienced developer with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. The ability to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Effective problem solving skills combined with analytical, logical and organisation skills Sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage internal stakeholders and external customers effectively and professionally An appetite and aptitude for owning responsibility of technical decisions and direction for one or many projects/teams Directing technical aspect of operations related to escalated client accounts or high severity issues High level of self-motivation with the ability to work on own initiative and proven success in a team environment, often under pressure. Attending to both business and technical considerations when designing solutions to project/team or company related issues. Demonstrating an interest in improving the company's technical awareness, depth and use of technology across the business. Participating in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies as it related to software development. Provision of thought-leadership as it relates to emerging technologies and readying our company and engineers for productively integrating the same into our business.
