Traffic / Studio Manager, Bristol, 25K
My client, a full service Agency in Bristol are looking for a Traffic/Studio Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Creative Director, the role of the Traffic / Studio Manager is the overall management and day-to-day running of the creative and production workflow in the studio, to ensure smooth and efficient delivery, enhanced productivity and client satisfaction.
This role is key to monitoring profitability of jobs as well as timescales on all workflow.
Key responsibilities of the role include - the scheduling of all design and artwork for the studio, ensuring that client needs are met responsively, efficiently and professionally and working closely with Account Managers, Creative Director, Designers and other key team members to ensure the workflow fits the overall internal and external schedules.

To manage the allocation of work within the studio to both internal team members and organise with Creative Director freelance resource
To ensure that all design team members are working at capacity, to fill slack periods where they occur and to ensure that the team are neither at over capacity or under capacity, ensuring maximum efficiencies within the studio are reached at all times
To ensure the studios relationship with its suppliers are cost effective, efficient and well managed
To ensure there is an effective system in place (with the Office Manager, Creative Director and design team) to maintain all studio resources, including technical references, print and paper suppliers and other producers, creative contacts, photographers, copywriters, freelancers
Understanding individuals skillset and experience to be able to match the right resource with the project requirements
Working with account team to understand project value and so be able to resource accordingly
To obtain, with the support of the studio team, supplier quotations, to apply handling charges as specified and to ensure best value for clients
Working with the creative and account team teams to estimate on briefs
Identifying and engaging with suitable outsource partners when resources are required
Maintaining quality control by ensuring the briefs and requirements received are of a suitable quality to be scheduled and to push back for further definition when needed
To ensure there is an effective system in place so that all jobs are fully documented and archived and designers know their individual responsibilities with these procedures
To ensure communication with the Creative Director and Account Managers regarding the status of all jobs and any other studio issues
To assist the Creative Director with the development of all creative process
To keep aware of staff holidays to ensure appropriate design staffing levels for workflow at all times, in conjunction with Creative Director
To ensure all work is quality controlled by the Account Managers, Designers and Creative Director, before it leaves the Studio.
To manage, maintain and organise the server in conjunction with the Office Manager
To ensure appropriate levels of studio consumables within agreed budgets.
