Job Description

We're working in challenging times and the scale of the corporate turn-around we're engaged in cannot be underestimated - but we will achieve our goal. To do that we need good people, who are passionate about delivering great service for our customers and working hard for each other. We're starting an exciting new chapter in our history - it's a big challenge, but it's also a great opportunity.

With us you'll have a variety of responsibilities that vary depending on the role you join us in. But one thing is constant - working as part of a team to ensure our customers are listened to, engaged and supported. This idea is central to everything we do, right across our organisation. To succeed here you'll need to be a team player, friendly, helpful and be able to use your initiative.

Everyone who works here needs to aspire to be the best in their chosen field. We're rebuilding a business by capitalising on our strengths. It's the talent of our people that will make all the difference.

The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Front-End/JavaScript Developer to join our Digital Production Team to improve customer experience and increase engagement with our customers. With a strong understanding of user experience you will focus on developing our core web sites as part of a team of professionals to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for web development, ready to learn and to share knowledge and have a solid portfolio of work to evidence skills and experience. Attitude is key for this role. You don't view your career as just a "9 to 5" and are ready to handle the pressures of working in a fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant IT degree in web / multimedia or significant related work experience. You will have a strong background implementing complex visual designs with CSS and a successful track record in taking designs from initial concept to well-executed front-end code. You will have a solid portfolio of work to evidence your skills and experience.

You will possess an excellent working knowledge of modern cross-browser HTML5 and CSS3, JavaScript frameworks / libraries, Ajax / JSON, gesture / touch-based JavaScript and be experienced working with a CSS pre-processor such as LESS or SASS. You will also have previous experience of using version control systems such as GIT, SVN or TFS

In return, we offer an excellent employee salary and benefit programme which can be tailored to suit your individual needs. In addition to financial benefits, we offer a wide selection of exclusive lifestyle offers, development and learning programmes, services and support designed to help you manage and balance your own work-life priorities.
