Capita Life & Pensions (CLPS) is an outsourcing company providing business operational and IT & business change Programme and Projects support services to Life & Pensions companies.
We are currently looking for a PMO planner to work in Bristol on a permanent basis.
Capita Life & Pensions PMO supports the governance and delivery of the Capita Life & Pensions Portfolio through the provision of programme and project support services to accounts and programmes.
These support services encompass 3 generic categories:
* Programme and Project governance & controls including change management (work orders), ensuring adherence to Capita standards and controls, account contracts, SLA's and KPI's and where appropriate client procedures
* Supply & demand management and planning and forecasting processes
* Delivery of associated MI & reporting
This role supports and co-ordinates all planning activities within the programme.
A PMO Planner is an individual who is a self starter who has experience in providing PMO/PSO support to large projects or programmes, or working within complex reporting or resourcing functions within, ideally, a financial services organisation. The role will lead on the effective operation, delivery and improvement of PMO services in a Transformation Programme.
The role holder is therefore expected to demonstrate leadership, be proactive, and require minimum direction to achieve the tasks of a PMO.
The role needs a strong commercial awareness required within a Business Process Outsourcer providing services to and for external clients and an ability to lead improvement activity to deliver improvements to the PMO services and the methods, processes and standards which PMO are responsible for.
A PMO Planner will have experience in:
* Integrating Project/Programme Plans
* Resource Profiling and highlighting potential resource bottlenecks
* Formulate and maintain standard planning rules and templates
* Track/Monitor/Report programme progress against individual plans
and will also have experience in interpreting requirements, developing & analysing data and the production of MI and reporting in a Programme or Project environment; a clear understanding of Programme & Project governance, life cycles, methodologies and demonstrable ability to deliver a broad range of the activities required supporting the PMO service offering.
You will be expected to have excellent customer service and relationship management skills, a commercial awareness. The role will also involve liaising with internal and potentially external stakeholders and clients, Negotiating and senior stakeholder management with conflict resolution also being critical to success in this role.
MS Project - Must have experience in using MS Project
Excel - including experience in pivots, macros, formulas.
