A successful, leading Worcestershire organisation is now seeking an experienced Senior PR Officer to join their busy office. Working as part of a team, you will be primarily responsible for planning, implementing and delivering full PR campaigns, creating and editing press releases and articles, checking, and overseeing the approval of press material (publicity brochures, hand-outs, flyers, posters, photographs, presentations and displays) and overseeing the co-ordination of the full production and delivery.
Other main responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the media to secure optimum press coverage, respond to all request/ queries, manage team members, undertake relevant research and analysis of PR and communications activities and advise on appropriate tools to communicate to various audiences. Overall, you will be required to ensure that key business messages are communicated effectively and successfully manage the execution and delivery of a high quality service supporting the needs of the organisation.
The successful applicant will have experience of producing lively, interesting copy for press releases, feature articles and publicity material so you will need strong writing and editing skills to suit a wide range of audiences and incorporate their key messages. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines are required for this demanding position. Ideally, your experience will from a public relations or journalist background and will have very strong writing and creative skills, along with experience in supervising and motivating a team.
