A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Event Manager with a successful marketing communications agency based in Leeds, a role which will see you dealing with a range of events and taking ownership of projects.
As Event Manager, you will be central to all of the agency’s events, both internal and external, which are viewed as campaigns in themselves. The Event Manager will be responsible for monitoring all aspects of events both run and attended by the agency, working with stakeholders, sourcing the venue and facilities, producing detailed event plans, working alongside both the marketing team to ensure effective promotion and Campaign/Communications teams to produce event collateral, and liaising with department heads to plan events. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain the database, ensure events are organised and executed on time and budget, keep everyone within the agency informed, monitor events, work with internal software, and, of course, attend each event.
As an individual, you should have at least two to three years’ experience in an Event Management role, exceptional organisational, communication, and planning skills, an enthusiastic approach to work, analytic and creative approaches for dealing with budgets and event planning respectively, and excellent project management skills. You will also need to demonstrate experience in online and offline communication channels, good computer skills, and negotiation and persuasion skills; experience working with digital/film would be beneficial but not essential. Additionally, you will need to be able to drive to be considered, as this role will involve UK-wide travel.
