Denholm’s client, a leading, premium global drinks company is seeking an outstanding FMCG insight expert to head up this new, exciting Group function. Reporting to the Group Marketing Director you will provide holistic and connected insights (consumer, market, trade, competitor macro) across the Group that deliver a commercial benefit. You will also be responsible for providing insights that enable delivery of innovation solutions which deliver against the Group’s business objectives and are within the capability of the business units.
The Head of Insight will also be required to understand the return on investment of key marketing initiatives and generate learning within the marketing teams about market effectiveness. You will manage the 3 year planning process in Marketing, as well as meeting the information needs of the business, accessing this information as cost effectively as possible.
In order to succeed in this role, you will have significant FMCG marketing experience, gained in a blue chip environment (preferably in the drinks industry), specifically in the area of insights & analysis, strategic planning or market research. You will also possess significant experience in deriving actionable insight from multiple information sources, experience in negotiating data and research contracts as well as experience in managing and co-ordinating a network of research and tracking agencies. In addition, you will have experience of managing virtual teams and of working across a matrix structure.
This role will suit a highly numerate individual who has excellent problem solving skills and a natural curiosity and the ability to bring clarity to complex data. The ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders across the business is critical, as well as possessing a highly developed commercial mind-set, with the ability to understand and apply strategic brand tools.
