Job Description

Extremely exciting opportunity for a social media specialist to spearhead social media activity at one of the Midlands’ stellar integrated agencies.

This excellent agency works with an ever growing list of consumer brand names and has already one numerous awards for delivering innovative social media activity as part of a broader integrated offer. Increasingly, their clients are looking to them to develop social media strategy as a key element of their PR and digital activity, which is where you come in.

To be considered, we’ll need you to have an expert knowledge of social platforms, what’s hot, what’s not, and what’s likely to be very soon. So it goes without saying that you’ll be confident working up social strategies and pitching this to clients, whether this be online reputation management, community engagement (twitter, facebook, google+ etc), or driving brand awareness through developing innovative apps/portals/virals. Working closely with the PR team, you’ll bring a strong appreciation of how social activity integrates with PR and broader marketing activity and will have a clear passion for this ever growing area. All very exciting activity.

It could be that you come from an almost identical background, or that social media activity forms part of your current role and you’re itching to be given the opportunity to do far more. Either way, you’ll have an insatiable appetite for the latest developments in the social media world and how you can make these work for your clients. In an ideal world, you’ll also have knowledge/experience of how to optimise content for search purposes but this is by no means essential.
