BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
c£70k + package

Our clients are looking to develop their impressive portfolio of clients by recruiting a Business Development Director to head up all sales and business development activity designed to help them achieve their aim of becoming a Top 20 integrated agency.

Key responsibilities/Duties

The Business Development Director will take the agency’s history, track record
and knowledge and build and develop new business relationships with directors
and board members (focused on the retail sector) to generate significant revenue
streams in a professional but consultative sales manner. The successful individual
will generate a pipeline of business, and fundamentally increase the portfolio of new
accounts. They will execute a new business strategy in order to increase exposure
of the agency brand.

The successful candidate will be totally responsible for: “opening the doors” and
“closing the sale”, establishing longstanding and solid client relationships,
translating client requirements internally and continuing to oversee the accounts
working alongside the relevant Account Director for an agreed period of
involvement.


Experience

The successful candidate will have a solid new business, business development
and account management background preferably in grocery or “super-marketing”.
They will have excellent presentation skills and have a solid track record of building
relationships with senior management in blue chip organisations.
A thorough understanding of retail and marketing is essential as is proven
experience of building new business within an agency.
