A post has been created for a Technical SEO Analyst within an Internet Marketing company in Edinburgh city centre. This company is thriving in its niche market place which develops the Internet as a sales channel for their clients.

Job Description

They are currently looking for a Technical SEO / Internet Marketing Analyst, ideally someone from Web development / programming background looking to expand their skills within Internet Marketing.

As they are looking for candidates with a technical edge you will not necessarily have any prior experience of Search Engine Optimisation however you will be a self starter who has a good understanding of how people use search engines.

Being highly numerate and applying a sound analytical approach to the job in hand is a must, as well as being commercially minded. Good organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team or as an individual are also requirements.

You will join a profitable company that prides itself in offering a quality service to their clients. The successful candidate will work within an Internet Marketing team of 10 and provide analysis and expertise on some of the more technical aspects of the job. This will be in conjunction with assisting with the delivery of standard day-to-day Internet Marketing activities as required - for which full training will be provided.

The successful candidate will:

At least 2 years of significant web experience
Have an understanding of search engine optimisation principles and Web Analytics
Have an analytical approach and good communication skills
Have a good understanding of business dynamics
Show common sense and initiative
Have good interpersonal skills
Be able to understand and interpret statistics and spreadsheets
Genuine interest in Internet and new technologies
Experience of working with or a sound understanding the following technologies is essential:

· JavaScript

· Web Analytics Solutions

Google API technology
· XHTML

· CSS

· PHP /ASPX
