As Events Sales Manager you will provide a consistent base of qualified New Business meetings and in turn support and help sell proposed solutions.
Key Tasks:
Follow & deliver a New Business strategy put in place by the MD/Board
Help win & develop New Business sales and revenue from a pre-determined target list
Attend New Business meetings together with an Account Manager or Director
Achieve target activity levels of calls & meetings and target conversion rates to achieve set revenue quality targets
Attend identified networking events (both local and national), follow up and build on relationship started
Follow up marketing communication activity by phone, email or other means
Support in the formulation of briefs by Account Managers/Directors for them to put together a pitch/proposal
Liaison with internal departments as required eg. Marketing, Account Managers
Report weekly and monthly as required
Comprehensive understanding of the agency proposition and be able to present it over the phone and in person to varied target audiences
Prepare base tender submissions ready for Account Manager/Director to complete
To maintain and keep vibrant existing relationships held within the database and work to convert them
To have weekly catch up and progress reviews with Line Manager
