ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to more than 630,000 candidates in 93 countries every year. We support the teaching and learning of music, in partnership with the Royal Schools of Music. Our mission is to inspire achievement in music.
We’re looking for an experienced events executive with an interest in music education to join our Commercial team to manage the delivery of large scale events and conferences for ABRSM. The Events Executive is responsible for all logistical planning of events, including ticketing, liaison with venues, caterers etc.
In the run up to events, you will work closely with the Educational Content Manager to prepare event materials and select appropriate presenters and you will also respond to queries from music teachers and representatives outside the UK. You will brief event teams and attend events to ensure that they run smoothly and that compliance with industry standards of legality and health and safety are adhered to throughout all events. You will also provide post-event support to external consultants and presenters as needed. Experience in setting budgets for events and/or monitoring spend, is essential.
If you have a passion for music and are looking for a role in which you can harness your skills, enthusiasm and creativity to help us achieve our goals of improving the experience of teachers and learners worldwide, we look forward to receiving your application.
ABRSM offers its employees a range of benefits, including an interest-free season ticket loan (after passing the probationary period) and a contributory pension scheme.
