The gender pay gap doesn't just exist in boardrooms — it's seen on the court, too. Wealthsimple and Dallas Wings all-star Skylar Diggins-Smith partnered to highlight the stark pay gap in professional basketball - WNBA players earn 100-times less on their rookie contracts than their NBA counterparts.

The minute-long spot features two basketball prodigies sharing their accolades to the camera. Both say they'll grow up to be first-round picks in their respective leagues, but the girl — a younger version of Diggins-Smith — says her starting salary will be just $40,000.

The ad will run online, on social and on TV during NBA games.
