Creative incubator Sid Lee Collective and Massivart have called on artists for a ‘Posters for Peace’ movement to celebrate this year’s Bed-In for Peace. With it, their creative call to action video juxtaposes happy faced animations with harsh real photos and videos.

To bring attention to the International Day of Peace, Sid Lee and Massivart are calling on creatives, designers and illustrators from around the world to submit their design for a 24" x 36" peace poster. A jury of design professionals will select 50 posters for exhibition at the bed-in.

The accompanying call for entry video starts with a childlike song about living in a friendly world, with animated images of singing smiles, frolicking dolphins and peaceful butterflies. As it goes on, those animations are replaced by timely, often violent events, addressing issues of race, color, religion, dead refugees, the far right and nuclear war. It’s tagged with ‘peace needs help’ and a call for submissions.
