Trainline is taking a tongue-in-cheek jab at its airborne travel rivals in its latest campaign, which spotlights the spoof brand Lintenair – an anagram of Trainline – and its seamless customer experience.

The spot features Eleanor Tomlinson of Poldark fame explaining why she loves Lintenair’s city centre terminals, queue free boarding, lack of baggage restrictions and mobile ticketing. The airline of dreams is revealed to be a hoax at the end of the ad, when Tomlinson “confesses” to travelling with Trainline.

Red Consultancy and Red Create created the campaign in collaboration with Trainline’s in-house PR and brand team. In addition to the initial spoof and ‘reveal’ videos, the initiative is supported by a longer behind-the-scenes film, as well as sponsored posts and media materials.

Lintenair forms part of Trainline’s ‘biggest ever’ PR and social media campaign, which has been designed to highlight how travelling by train stacks up against the restrictions of flight
