Conceived by European creative agency mortierbrigade, in partnership with Equal Pay Day Europe, the film offers a personal insight into the global debate, seen through the eyes of one woman: Amazon Eve.

Erika Irvin, who goes by the stage name Amazon Eve, transitioned from male to female in 2004, giving up family and friends, and her career as a lawyer, in her quest to establish her true identity. Now working as a successful model and actress, she is an icon to fans all over the world. However, as she tells her story, she explains that she has been personally affected by the inequality that exists around women’s pay. The film ends with Erika’s rallying cry: “Treat me like a woman. Pay me like a man.”

The beautifully crafted film was shot on location in LA, with award-winning director Koen Mortier. It is the not the first time that mortierbrigade has tackled this controversial issue head-on, having created many campaigning films in the past. These include the acclaimed film it created with porn star Sasha Grey in 2012, explaining how the adult film industry is one of the only places in the world where women earn more than their male counterparts.
