This Valentine’s Day, Sainsburys and Gravity Road remind us that love can be found where you least expect it, with a comical, canine tale directed by Trevor Melvin (Dark Energy).

Valentine’s Day is all about showing that special person in your life that you love them but what if that special person isn’t a person at all? It turns out that pets are the second most gifted recipients on Valentine’s Day with Brits splashing £27 million on their pets last year. It was just this sort of loveable insight that Sainsbury’s needed to deliver a canine caper with some cut through.

The film, born from this insight, showcases our beloved pooch Barley in a Valentine’s tale of jealousy, revenge and forgiveness. We see Barley the dog as he is neglected by his owner who is caught up in the preparation of a Valentine’s day date. Only to have Barley reap his revenge by burying all of his owners carefully laid plans. However, when the date finally arrives, Barley quickly realises he’s made a terrible error of judgement.
