Twitter has become overrun with trolls who diminish meaningful conversation and draw our attention away from the important issues. Troll Tax has figured out a way to put a stop to these disruptive voices for good—by flipping the conventional wisdom of 'Don’t feed the trolls on its ear.

Troll Tax gives people on the web the power to turn the negative energy of online trolling into good, to benefit the causes people care about.

Troll Tax works this way: Anytime a troll posts negative comment on Twitter, the URL of the tweet can be entered by anyone into the Troll Tax website and donate to various non-profit organizations in the troll’s name. Once the donation is made, users can then tweet a confirmation back at the troll, announcing publicly that their online rhetoric has prompted a donation. Users can also install a Chrome Extension to initiate a donation with a single click of a 'troll' button.
